The Lord was with Joseph, so he succeeded in everything he did as he served in the home of his Egyptian master. Potiphar noticed this and realized that the Lord was with Joseph, giving him success in everything he did.

That is unfair! Yes, it was. When unfair things happen in our life, God is with us. Joseph was sold into slavery. He was falsely accused of attempted rape and thrown into jail. Despite these horrible situations, God was with him in each situation favoring him. God was using all the unfair situations to prepare him for his future promotion. In the same way, God is with you in each unfair circumstance and causing you to succeed in everything you do. What has God done for you today? Praise Him. Dear Father, I thank you for being our Lord. Thank you for your wisdom to write Joseph’s story in the Bible. Thank you for the comfort that it brings. No matter what, you are always with us directing our steps. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
