If God had a name what would it be? And would you call it to his face? If you were faced with Him in all His glory. What would you ask if you had just one question?
Those lyrics by Joan Osbourne are so powerful. If we saw Jesus on the street, would we stop for Him? If Jesus was that man in the middle of traffic asking for change, would we recognize him? Would you give Jesus a dollar or roll up your window and pretend not to see Him?
Jesus was unattractive and despised. He is God. And, He is probably the guy we would also swipe left on, if given the opportunity. Yikes! Swiping left on Jesus? That's crazy! He is Jesus! We would never reject Jesus or ignore Him! Right? We don't choose social media over spending time with Him. We don't spend hours on the phone gossiping, but absolutely refuse to read one Bible verse. No, not us!
