There is a Plan

8 God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. 9 Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. 10 For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. Ephesians 2:8-10 NLT

APPLICATION

God created and saved us from the consequences of sin. Our salvation is a gift from God. There is nothing we can do to earn it. God not only saved us, but made us into a new creation through Jesus Christ. Our past is in the past. We are no longer slaves or victims. We are free! We are victors!

As a new creation, we can do the good things that God planned for us to do. Imagine that. God sat in Heaven and said “I am going to create her with the perfect mix of spice and ingredients because I have a purpose and a plan for her.” Yes, there is a plan. When God formed you in your mother's womb, there was a plan created for your life. The highs and the lows are all part of the plan. God has you in the palm of His hand and He is watching you closely.

Dear God, thank you for your hand on our lives. Help us to believe in you everyday even when it is hard. We are grateful to be yours. We are grateful to be chosen. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
